Again, me and my romantic ideas about riding a camel clearly comes from the movies. Yes the only time I got to sit on a camel In Oman was on the back of a Toyota truck where the camel was resting. How ever my need to see lots of camels was satisfied, though nobody was riding them. Most camels had the classical light brown camel color, but in the south region "Musandam", we encountered the large black camel. Camels in Oman are mire like pets and are taken for walks like we take dogs for walks.
